Jürg Stahl brings impressive experience and wide-ranging expertise to his new role. He was a member of the National Council from 1999 to 2019 and served as its President for one year. Stahl was a member of the Social Security and Health Committee (SGK) for 20 years.   

In the past, Stahl was a member of the management of Groupe Mutuel, owner of his own drugstore and part-time marketing teacher. He has been President of Swiss Olympic since 2017 and will relinquish this position at the end of 2024 due to a term limit. He has been Central President of the Swiss Drugstore Association since 2018 and President of the Foundation Board of the Swiss National Science Foundation since 2020, a role for which he was proposed by the Federal Council. He is also an ambassador for the Talent Campus Bodensee.

With his extensive experience in the healthcare sector and his commitment, Jürg Stahl will be a valuable asset to the Board of the Swiss Balgrist Association. The President of the Association, Rita Fuhrer, warmly welcomes him and looks forward to working with him.
